It is a time-honored tradition to make resolutions at this time of year. If your resolution is to lose weight - and keep it off, then keep reading! Here are six simple tips that will have you losing weight in a balanced and healthy way.

1. Lose weight with water.

Water is essential for everybody - it is also the key to losing weight. If you haven't been drinking enough water, your body has developed a pattern of storing water. This water retention equals extra unwanted weight.

By drinking more water, you are not only flushing out toxins, you are also teaching your body that it no longer needs to store water. Drink at least 60 ounces of water (about 8 glasses) a day. Boil water and sliced lemons, and drink this throughout the day to help with fluid retention. If you are still not sold on the merits of water, try this on for size: water is a natural appetite suppressant.

2. Soup up your weight loss program.

A simple dietary change will have you shedding pounds: eat a bowl of soup at least once a day. Nutritious, low-salt soups will nourish you as they flush waste from your body. People who eat a serving of soup daily lose more weight than those who eat the same amount of calories but don't eat soup. Go for homemade soup whenever possible, as canned soups are loaded with salt and chemicals.

3. Eat early to keep weight off.

The human body follows a circadian rhythm, which means that the same foods eaten at breakfast and lunch are processed differently than when eaten at dinner. Studies show that when you eat your daily protein and fat at breakfast you tend to lose weight and have more energy; however, eating the same things at dinner tend to increase tendencies toward weight gain. I suggest that you eat your last meal of the day by 7 p.m.

4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently.

Follow an eating schedule with five little meals every day. Eating steadily through the day keeps you from becoming famished and overeating at your next meal. Make a low-fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples and have it available at all times to avoid the tempting lure of high-calorie snacks.

5. Adopt a balanced approach to your diet.

Most of the fad diet programs out there nowadays are extreme in a few recommended foods, or else deprive the body of food altogether. This works in opposition to our metabolism and the results usually don't last, producing a yoyo effect that depresses your metabolic function - not to mention your self-esteem. We are natural beings that need a balance of nutrition from all sources.

Your diet should consist of a balance of organic sources of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Instead of white rice and pasta, opt for brown rice, bulgur, millet, or buckwheat.

Eat more green, chlorophyll-rich foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate candy, sugar, soda, and all simple sugars from your diet. Excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain. Also, keep dairy to a minimum because most dairy products are high in saturated fat. Avoid fatty foods, processed or fried foods.

6. Walk off the weight.

The No. 1 cause of weight gain is inactivity. Physical activity is the key to speeding up your metabolism and burning excess calories. The best way to be physically active is to use your legs! Walk as often and as long as you can. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.

DRAGON BALL THE MOVIE? ( ENGLISH VERSION )



How did this happen?

20th Century Fox went to Japan to buy the rights for a Dragonball movie in 2002. Since then, very little progress was done on the movie until recently. Regardless, fans were very excited and fake posters and manips began to appear soon after the movie rights were acquired. In 2004, Fox hired Ben Ramsey (The Big Hit) to write the screenplay. After many reports on the movie being cancelled, finally in 2007 we were given some credible information.

Canada.com reported that 20th Century Fox had planned on filming the Dragonball movie in Montreal via green screen, much like the movie “300.” Soon after, 20th Century Fox issued a press release, confirming the director, producer, and stunt company.

Goku will be in high school?

Yes, in this adaptation Goku will attend high school for a brief period of time. For comparison, watch the first “Spiderman” movie and count the amount of minutes Peter Parker attended high school in the movie. Chances are, high school will play an incredibly short part in this movie as well.

Why has the character Goku been changed?

Unfortunately, I haven’t read the script yet, and chances are neither have you. Because this is an adaptation, we can only assume the change fits the movie. It is also important to note Goku is 18 in this movie, so he will be graduating (or dropping out of) school, and in sequels school will be non-existent. It’s best to be patient and trust the filmmakers.

When will the trailer be released?

The official theatrical trailer is targeted to be released on December 12th, 2008.

Khamis lalu pada 20hb November 2008, kami bertujuh berkumpul pada malam yang sejuk, nyaman dan basah..huhu...hujan turun tak henti-henti sejak pukul 4 petang lagi..pening2...ye la musim hujan la katakan...tiap-tiap petang hujan..nak tido pun lena..hehe...

Our organizer malam tu tak lain tak bukan mestilah Mr.Fazril. Tempat kami gather adalah di Syed Bistro USJ 7 dan mula pada pukul 8 lebih. Malam tu semua ahli-ahli parti seperti Mr Hirzi, Mr Fazly(me), Mr Meor, Mr Farhan, Mr Ehsan, Mr Fazril, Mr Shahnawaz dan Mr Adib datang berkumpul.



Seperti biasa saya dan hirzi kadang-kadang bertukar transport memandangkan rumah kami berdua sgt dekat mcm pintu rumah dgn pintu pagar je jaraknyer...hehe...Sama ada dia atau saya yang akan drive tapi malam tu saya drive kete Proton Gen 2 saya ke sana...saya bagitau dia yang pukul 8.15 saya stg amik dia tapi janji melayukan, saya dtg pkol 8.30..hehe... Dah lama benar tak jumpe kawan terbaik saya ni...hehe



Nak ke tempat gather tu amik masa 5 minit je dari rumah kami...Bila kami sampai ingatkan takde sape sampai lagi. Kami ingat kami la orang first yang sampai last-last jumpe Meor dgn Farhan...depa dah sampai dlu la...diorang pun dah lama kitorang tak jumpe sebab masing-masing sibuk...Kami bersalaman dan order minuman dulu. Mr Farhan baru je abis keje dan trus dtg ke sini. Mr Meor mcm biasa nampak blur je tapi tetap maintain comel... Kami start berbual tentang masing-masing punye aktiviti.



Pastu, Mr Shahnawaz pun sampai...Selalu pkai cap dtg..hehe... Shahnawaz tanye pasal Mr Meor punye kete. Family Meor baru je membeli sebuah kereta idaman rakyat Malaysia dan malam tu dia dtg bwk kete tu. Kami tak perasan pulak yang ada kete BMW park kat parking lot...tergamam + batak jap... Sume mcm kagum jap... Mr Shahnawaz pun tak pasti gak dan tak tau yang BMW tu Meor punyer...Meor kat dah sebulan beli...huhu...


Beberape minit kemudian, Mr Fazril dgn Mr Ehsanpun sampai. Mr Shahnawaz happy sgt nak bgtai Mr Fazril tentang kete BMW Meor. Mr Fazril dgMr Ehsan pun terkejut gaks...kete baru tuh!... pastu depa tanye la pasal kete tu punya details. Pastu, Adip pun sampai. Dia pun student kat Uitm Shah mcm saya tp kat shah alam la wat degree. Khamis ni dia akan konvo katanye. Adib ni minat motor. Farhan pun tanya la Adip pasal motornye. Adip kata motor dia dah slow down dan dia plan nk tukar enjin motor dia dgn enjin skooter comel...wahhh!




Memandangkan semua dah sampai, masing2 memberi idea untuk program cuti "sekolah" utk akhir tahun ni...Mr Meor cadang pg Genting Highlands dan dipersetujui oleh Hirzi dan Farhan. Mr Meor juga cadang kita amik pakej bas kat KL Sentral... Mr Shahnawas, Mr Fazril dan Mr Ehsan tak setuju sebab takut driver bas bwk bas mcm pelesit tambahan lg skung musim hujan dan jalan yg x begitu safety sgt.



Saya lak cadang pegi konvokesyen Farhan kat UIA Sabtu ni. Lagi sekali, hanya saya, Hirzi dan Meor yg setuju nak pegi. Mr Shahnawaz tak konfiden nak g gombak. Sebenarnya taj jauh g gombak...amik highway Kesas je pastu trus je ke Gombak. Kami cadang Meor bwk kitorang g sana...Tgk mcmana plan tu nanti...



Mr Farhan lak cadang g main boling kat Sunway dan tgk Quantum of Solace sekali. Ok gak tu...lgpun dah lama tak main boling dan tgk wayang sama-sama. Tapi Mr Shahnawaz dgn Mr Fazril tak pnah main boling... Tak yah risau la, byk pro yg bleh ajar...hehe.... Tgk mcmana plan tu nanti...



Terlalu byk sgt plan yg dicadangkan...tp kami cuma ada masa sampai next week jer... Next week weekend, Mr Meor, Mr Fazril dgn Mr Shahnawaz dah balik UNITEN. Hujung minggu tu plak nanti, Mr Farhan keje plak... So, kitorng still mencari masa yg sesuai utk wat aktiviti ni semua. Tgk la mcmana plan ni nanti... Last-last, kami masih belum capai keputusan yg muktamad tapi plan yag dicadangkan akan berjalan seperti biasa...



Dalam pukul 10.15 pm, kami bayar bil...tp meeting tak akan abis mcm tu jer, its motor show time!... Its a meeting at the parking lot dan demo kete masing-masing. Our main attraction malam tu ialah kete Meor', the BMW 530i...

There is also a night vision camera that was placed in the front bumper of the car that allow the driver to see in the dark.

Ni la saat-saat yang paling happy dalam hidup saya. Kenangan kami ketika ber-overnyte kat sekitar ipoh. Macam-macam aktiviti kami buat mcm lepak kat Nashmir, padang polo makan ais-krim, wireless kat McD gopeng dan kat area JJ...tp kat McD x de wireless so men game jer ler...hehe...pastu byk lagi la...hehe...then dah pnat kami tido kat tempt parking McD gopeng dan breakfast skali kat sana...papepun aku rindu kat Fifi!

Inilah bini saya ataupun sweetcherry pie saya, namanye Ily Athirah. Saya sayang sgt kat dia sbb dia pun sayang sgt kat saya. Kami bertemu masa part 1 dlu. Masa tu saya jadi ketua kelas dan dia masa tu belum jd bini saya lg adalah penolong saya. Kami pun x tau mcmana kami boleh kenal tetapi rasa terdapat keserasian antara kami yang membuatkan kami masih bertahan sampai kini. Alhamdulillah....papepun bini saya ni seorang yang baik hati dan penyayang orangnye. Tak sia-sia saya pilih dia sebagai teman. Dalam byk-byk perempuan kat uitm dan kat luar sana, bg saya hanya dia yang menjadi pujaan hati saya ni. Dia berbeza dgn perempuan-perempuan lain. Merendah diri adalah sifat yang paling saya suka tentang diri dia. Cayang! I LOVE YOU!

Dah pelbagai dugaan yang kami tempuhi bersama dan alhamdulillah, semuanya berjalan dgn lancar. Semakin hari semakin sayang saya pada dia. Tiada orang lain yang mampu menggantikan tempatnye sebab dia berbeza dari yg lain.

Finally, the war of exam was totally over but i'm not really that happy beause i'm too scared to face the effects from my laziest attitudes.When i was in a hurry to the examination hall, someone said to me like this:

"Good Luck! I don't know i can do it or not...huhu"

What was he trying to tell me? or he just psychoing me?..but i never give a damn to him because i know who i am and my level even i'm not that good compared with him but who cares? hehe...This semester were totally sucks! I already thought not to sit for the exam for AUD390 because i'm not ready to do it...So, i want to do it or not, i ran to the examination hall and i'm sweated like crazy. What a shamed!!! Oh well... no need to remembered the previous days! It is officially over anyway...hopefully all of us can pass this semester with flying colours...(at least for me!)
